BAMBOO

PROPERTIES:
Bamboo is an evergreen plant from which it is possible to obtain bamboo fiber.
Bamboo is a biodegradable fabric and its decomposition does not cause environmental pollution. Hypoallergenic and therefore perfect for the most sensitive skin. Thermoregulator and therefore suitable for the four seasons. Elastic in both width and length and this allows it to adapt to the movements of the child’s body.
Its crops do not require much water and have plants made with renewable energy. It is a completely eco-sustainable fabric.
COTTON

PROPERTIES:
The growing sensitivity of consumers to environmental issues has pushed many textile companies towards the production of organic cotton. Unlike normal cotton fabrics, organic cotton is grown with methods with low environmental impact. Moreover, since pesticides are not used, organic cotton fabrics are 100% non-toxic and particularly suitable for the delicate skin of children and infants.
Cotton is a natural fiber and is one of the most used fibers by man together with wool. It is also one of the few crops that man has sown for hundreds of years without food. In order to grow the cotton plant needs a warm climate characterized by periods of high humidity to other very dry, necessary for the ripening phase. The fiber, used for textile production, is very long, soft, extremely shiny.
Cotton is 95% cellulose and is a lightweight, soft material with high absorption properties.
In addition to the properties mentioned, cotton includes:
- High strength: the mechanical strength of cotton is due to the large presence of water. Wet fibers, in fact, are stronger than dry ones. Cotton is among the fibers that absorb more water (holding it up to 15% of its weight);
- Hypoallergenic and breathable: gives a pleasant feeling of softness on the skin, disperses body heat well and buffers the bad smell produced by sweat;
- Absorbing power and lightweight: Cotton leaves skin pleasantly dry and removes heat from the air layer in contact with the epidermis.
